Hi there, I'm Mahra, a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with a background in astrophysics. Basically, I'm a physics nerd who has found her way into the world of tech. I used to analyze emissions from galaxies containing active supermassive black holes, but now I work on various cloud-based solutions as part of one of the many Microsoft ISE teams. These range from cloud and edge-based applications for manufacturing use cases to LLM-based code generation solutions.

Part of the Application Development team at UBS Card Center. Oversaw and developed multiple front-end applications used by internal and external customers, and implemented back-end microservices.

Master studies while focusing on research projects in the field of black hole astrophysics. My master's thesis investigated whether photometric data of galaxies held hidden insights from which a machine learning algorithm could infer cross-wavelength information using convolutional neural networks.
